The City of Santa Clarita is excited to begin the design of the Newhall Park Improvements project, funded by the Safe, Clean Water Program. The project will construct a stormwater Best Management Practice infiltration system beneath the park, helping capture and infiltrate stormwater runoff while improving local water quality and groundwater recharge. In addition to the underground stormwater infrastructure, the project will deliver a variety of new recreational amenities for the community, including two basketball courts with pickleball striping, a multi-purpose field, an inclusive play area, and a nature play area, among other park enhancements.
The project is scheduled to enter the design phase in fall 2026.
