He currently holds the position of Corporate Vice President- Maintenance and Construction and oversees the Maintenance and Construction functions for all 26 Six Flags parks in North America.<\/p><p>In addition to his North American park responsibilities, Tim is a senior executive on the International Development team, charged with the development and design of new internationally licensed Six Flags Parks. He has worked on multiple new International theme and water parks in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, China, and Mexico.<\/p><p>Tim is a graduate of Wm. S. Hart High School, attended College of the Canyons, and graduated from California State University, Northridge. He holds Bachelors\u2019 and Masters\u2019 Degrees, as well as numerous technical certifications.<\/p><p>Tim lives in the City of Santa Clarita with his wife Debbie. His oldest daughter is a High School teacher in Salinas, California and his youngest daughter is a hospital Dietician living in Castaic with her husband and son. He is an avid cyclist and a board member of the Santa Clarita Valley Trail Users, volunteering regularly to build and maintain trail networks in the City Open Spaces. She is co-owner and founding partner of Eichman &amp; Eichman, Tax and Accounting and also owns Gymnastics Unlimited, Santa Clarita\u2019s oldest and largest gymnastics school with her husband. Lisa is an Enrolled Agent and a Licensed Financial Advisor. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the following organizations: All Valley Le Tip (current President), Gymnastics Unlimited Foundation (CFO), Foundation for US Historical Monuments (Treasurer and Founding Board Member). Ms. Berlin retired from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) in December 2016, where she held the position of Senior Executive Officer, Countywide Planning, responsible for the planning, development, and environmental clearance of major transit infrastructure projects. Renee also managed the development and implementation of Metro\u2019s Systemwide Station design and the Metro Art program.\u00a0 At Metro, Renee worked collaboratively with local jurisdictions throughout the County to fund and implement critical mobility improvements. Examples in the City of Santa Clarita include the McBean Transit Center, Cross Valley Connector, Magic Mountain Interchange, Golden Valley Interchange, bus purchases, Metrolink stations, and numerous traffic signal, bicycle, and pedestrian projects. Renee holds a BA in Urban Studies and an MA in Urban Planning.<\/p><p>Renee Berlin joined the Planning Commission in January 2017. He was soon working with residents to provide a technical basis that supported resisting the location of a hazardous waste dump over the Santa Clara River in Canyon Country. Later he provided similar input to resist the Elsmere Canyon Dump. Dennis spent 25 years with Southern California Edison as their specialist in earthquakes. Growing up, he played football and basketball through Santa Clarita\u2019s Parks and Recreation program and went on to play football at Hart. Following high school, he attended Cal State Fullerton, where he studied economics.\u00a0 Unfortunately, following his freshman year, he was diagnosed with stage IV Non-Hodgkin&#8217;s Lymphoma and was given a minimal chance of survival. After winning a lengthy battle, his life was set on a new trajectory.\u00a0 From that point on, Jonathan has dedicated his life to service and causes bigger than himself.<\/p><p>A year later, Jonathan joined the Navy and worked in Intelligence. During his service, Jonathan was selected to attend the prestigious Defense Language Institute in Monterey, where he learned to speak Korean fluently.\u00a0 While serving, Jonathan completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Global Business at the University of Maryland and later went on to complete his Juris Doctorate at Southwestern University, School of Law. Jonathan now proudly serves our Defense Industry from the private sector, as an attorney and contracts manager at Northrop Grumman.<\/p><p>Jonathan\u2019s commitment to service extends to local causes as well. He is highly involved in Santa Clarita schools.\u00a0 He is currently the Chair of the Meadows Elementary Site Council. Within the Hart District, Jonathan serves on the Executive Board of the WiSH Education Foundation and the Measure SA Citizen Oversight Committee.<\/p><p>Jonathan also dedicates time to several other interests that are important to him.\u00a0 He is highly committed to serving the needs of fellow veterans through organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project and The Mission Continues. He is a member of VIA (Valley Industry Association), the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, and the SCV Bar Association. Lastly, and of particular importance to Jonathan as a survivor, is his participation as an Executive Board Member of Circle of Hope; a non-profit supporting members of the community battling cancer.<\/p><p>Jonathan is married to Karla, with whom he shares his commitment to service with. They feel fortunate to be raising their young children in this amazing community. Jonathan understands the importance and value of maintaining our Parks and Recreation program and resources.\u00a0 He has spent his entire life enjoying these services and now provides those same opportunities to his children.\u00a0 Whether it\u2019s the youth sports offered through Seasons, the parks that are always within walking distance, or the seemingly endless trails, Santa Clarita always has something to offer.<\/p><p>Jonathan understands these services take careful planning, oversight, and maintenance, to ensure they continue to be a point of pride for Santa Clarita. He is committed to fostering positive growth in this community\u2019s youth. Whether it is through the parks and trails, the youth intervention and diversion programs, or through the various sports programs, he believes that this city can meet the needs of every member of the community.<\/p><h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-197 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/637492593591800000.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"155\" height=\"188\" \/><br \/>Vice-Chair Henry Rodriguez<\/h2><p>Term Expires: December 2024<\/p><p>Currently enrolled in an accelerated MBA program at The University of La Verne, Henry Rodriguez is a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley and started his State Farm agency in April of 2011.<\/p><p>Henry has one of the top performing State Farm agency\u2019s in the country every year since 2011, and is consistently recognized with Senior Vice Presidents Club and is currently on time for Chairman\u2019s Circle, Multi-line Presidents club and MDRT. Henry was also featured on a recent article in Elite magazine and was quoted saying, \u201cgive everyday 120%!\u201d<\/p><p>Henry credits his success to strong team building, empowering his team to be leaders, mastering the art of networking, delivering a Remarkable client experience, using a wide range of marketing strategies and continuously learning and developing. Henry is also very active in his community; he sits on 2 prestigious non-profit boards (The Santa Clarita Economic Development Corp. &amp; The Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce) and is the past Chair of Latino Business Alliance. He and his team make it a priority to engage in community events, give back, serve and simply be involved to only further strength relationships, assist in economic growth and remain relevant in the community he loves.<\/p><p>He is engaged to his fianc\u00e9 Sonja and have two beautiful baby boys, Jayden, their oldest at 8 and Mason their youngest at only 6 years old. They are a baseball family and can often time be found at Hart baseball complex where Henry not only sponsors but gives back his time supports Hart baseball as a coach!<\/p><h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/637492593602430000.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"155\" height=\"188\" \/><\/h2><h2><span style=\"font-size: var( --e-global-typography-secondary-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-secondary-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\"><br \/>Commissioner\u00a0<\/span>Skye Ostrom<\/h2><p>Term Expires: December 2026<\/p><p>\u201cI am proud of Santa Clarita!\u201d, is a statement that Skye Ostrom often says\u2026.and she means it!\u00a0 She moved here with her parents, Dennis and Susan, and her sister in 1979 when they purchased a 2.5 acre parcel of land in Sand Canyon.\u00a0 When they first got to the property it was on a rural dirt road and had 2 oak trees.\u00a0 As a family they set to planting an orchard, building a house, and developing the acres into a small hobby ranch which they still work today.<\/p><p>Skye attended Sulphur Springs Elementary, Sierra Vista Jr. High, Canyon High School, COC, and then left the SCV for some years to attend UCLA where she got her 1st degree in Microbiology with an emphasis in Psychology.\u00a0 However, she always knew she would return to the city that she watched her parents and neighbors build up from 4 small townships into the strong and independent Santa Clarita Valley of today.\u00a0 Upon her graduation and return, Skye attained a teaching position at Sierra Vista and after 24 years, she is still there as a Science teacher, campus leader, and at times, a school counselor.\u00a0 Over the years she has continued her education to include two masters degrees in education and school counseling.<\/p><p>During her freetime Skye takes advantage of the resources SCV has to offer:\u00a0 hiking, riding her horses, going to community events, and enjoying the plethora of restaurants and shops around town. She also spends time working with youth and programs in the area that deal with animal husbandry, nature, mental health, and education.\u00a0 Skye, her sister, Rachael Dawn (Dr. Rachael of Twin Oaks Equine), and her parents also spend time traveling and experiencing unique places around the world.\u00a0 The vast list of experiences gained over the years have led Skye to becoming part of the Parks Commission where her dream is to make SCV into a destination that both residents and visitors are excited to come and enjoy.<\/p><p>As part of the Parks commission, Skye hopes to keep the momentum going for open space, hiking trails, and parks that she, her family, friends, and her students utilize.\u00a0 Along with this, she strongly supports the diverse resources and recreational programs that offer the community chances to participate and enjoy this special area of SoCal.\u00a0 She also wants our city to keep embracing a focus on healthy lifestyles with a variety of activities, educational opportunities, and positive mental health programs for all.\u00a0 \u201cSanta Clarita is like family and I want us all to become the best version that we can be!\u201d<span style=\"background-color: transparent; color: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-198 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/06\/638114626959530000.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"155\" height=\"188\" \/><br \/>Commissioner\u00a0Peggy Stabile<\/h2><p>Term Expires: December 2026<\/p><p>When Peggy and Jeff Stabile relocated to the Los Angeles area in 1979 with their children, Beth and Jeff Jr., one of Jeff\u2019s co-workers suggested Valencia, as \u201cthe perfect place to raise a family.\u201d \u00a0They were easily convinced when they saw the parks, paseos, schools, and small communities within the community!<\/p><p>With Jeff at work and the children at Placerita Junior High, Peggy began her career with the Hart District in January 1980 as a reading specialist at Bowman High School. She transferred to Hart\u2019s Special Ed program and worked as a counselor at both Hart and Valencia High Schools.\u00a0 Diagnosed with breast cancer, she took early retirement but following treatment, returned to the work force as an adjunct counselor at COC. \u00a0In 2010, she launched her own business, Pegasus 2 Edu, assisting families in navigating the college application process. Under her guidance, numerous Hart District students found their \u201cdream\u201d schools and were recipients of generous scholarships. She also worked pro bono with families in need and continues this practice each year.<\/p><p>While counseling at Hart, Peggy piloted TEENAGE GRIEF (TAG), a support program for students grieving deaths of loved ones. \u00a0With a colleague, she initiated both the International Club, enabling students to share their cultures with classmates and UNITY, the first anti-bullying anti\/discrimination program in the district. She also designed Operation US, during which UNITY teen leaders met with local 6<sup>th<\/sup> graders and shared activities that encouraged inclusion and acceptance of all. At the urging of her teen leaders who felt UNITY should be citywide, Peggy approached staff at the city\u2019s Parks, Recreation, and Community Service Department who embraced the idea. And, in 1994, the city\u2019s Human Relations Forum was established.<\/p><p>When their son came out in 1986, Peggy and Jeff joined PFLAG LA and eventually became board members. Two years later, 400 protesters held a demonstration on the median of Orchard Village Road to oppose a teacher who was lesbian and who was invited to address educators about creating safe spaces in their schools for their LGBTQ students. This event prompted the Stabiles to establish a PFLAG chapter in Santa Clarita. In addition to hosting meetings, Peggy organized a Speakers\u2019 Bureau and led educational seminars and workshops for parents and teachers. At PFLAG SCV\u2019s 30<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary celebration, the city recognized her for contributions that advanced equality by providing support, education, and advocacy on behalf of our LGBTQ children.<\/p><p>Since 1987, Peggy has watched city officials in Santa Clarita use caution and common sense to create an incredible community filled with opportunities that enable all age groups to find a way to belong. While maintaining the many wonderful programs the city already offers, as Commissioner, she hopes to investigate additions to these programs. She is especially interested in positive activities for at-risk youth as well as the development of both intergenerational programs and community interactions that will enable all of us to engage and embrace our city\u2019s diverse populations.<\/p><h2><br \/>Commissioner Di Thompson<\/h2><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-791 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/04\/DiThompson-169x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/04\/DiThompson-169x300.png 169w, https:\/\/santaclarita.gov\/city-clerk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/04\/DiThompson.png 361w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/>Term Expires: December 2026<\/p><p>Di Thompson, a dedicated resident of Santa Clarita for 24 years, has been married to her husband Jeffrey for 27 years and has raised their daughters within the Santa Clarita community.<\/p><p>Di\u2019s passion lies in facilitating families\u2019 and individuals&#8217; dreams of homeownership while advocating for and educating underserved communities on the process and benefits of creating generational wealth through homeownership.\u00a0 Di is an entrepreneur, who has been working to establishing her own real estate brand that specializes in residential and investment properties, Thompson Realty Advisors, brokered by eXp Realty.<\/p><p>Di is deeply committed to serving her community. She is very involved with the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and will serve as the 2025 Chair Elect of the SCV Chamber of Commerce, where she currently sits on the Board of Directors. She has a great respect for the arts \u2013 performing and visual \u2013 and has focused her philanthropic efforts on cultural arts and youth programs. She was the co-founder\/president of Theatre Arts for Children Foundation that raised funds for the restoration of the historic Newhall Elementary School auditorium. She also served on the board of the SCV Historical Society as the Educational Outreach Chair and was an original member of the Arts Alliance. The Rasmussen backyard was also used as theater space after the 1994 Northridge earthquake while Hart High repaired its auditorium.<\/p><p>Most recently Patti served as President of the Board of Directors of the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival and was the President of the SCV Senior Foundation.<\/p><p>\u201cYou can tell a lot about a community that values art,\u201d Rasmussen said. \u201cJust look around. He performed on the 2004 Grammy Award-winning CD \u201cCarlos Chavez: Complete Chamber Works, Vol. 2\u201d (Best Small Ensemble, Classical Field) as a member of Southwest Chamber Music. Michael Millar is an artist\/educational clinician for Conn-Selmer, Inc. and has presented numerous workshops in entrepreneurship, community engagement, and professional development at universities and conferences. He is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.<\/p><p>An active arts advocate since moving to Santa Clarita in 1993, Dr. Millar served with the City&#8217;s Arts Advisory Committee and with the Santa Clarita Symphony. Michael and his wife Dava live in Valencia. Following her graduation from Cal Arts, April spent time traveling with her award-winning thesis film \u201cDeep in My Heart\u201d which was shown back-to-back years at the Festival du Film, Cannes as one of five films by women at the Universelle Showcase, and as a part of Kodaks Emerging Film Makers. It is also archived in the Biloxi Mississippi History Museum and was honored at the city\u2019s 50th desegregation commemoration.<\/p><p>April is a \u201ccommunity activist\u201d for the promotion of the arts and has created a library at her worksite where hundreds of books were donated for employees to have easy access to reading for pleasure, business, or educational purposes.\u00a0 She has served as a Volunteer teacher for puppetry and theatre games at her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Newhall, where she serves as a Lector and a Catholic Women\u2019s Organization member.\u00a0 In recent years April has directed staged readings, poetry nights, performances for the Edge of the World Theatre Festival and the Noho Arts Theatre.\u00a0 She has also self-published a fantasy novel, \u201cGrounded\u2019 for which she is currently converting into a tv pilot.<\/p><p>April is employed as a Supervisor, Operations MFG Trainer at Pharmavite, a vitamin manufacturer located in Santa Clarita.\u00a0 She has served as the Vitality Chair at Pharmavite, coordinating monetary donations for Dani Lives \u2013 walk for Suicide Prevention and Awareness, Santa Clarita Marathons, Mardi Gras Marathons, Family Promise and Bridge to Home.<\/p><p>April was recently elected President of her chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, which is composed primarily of African American college-educated women and includes Vice President Kamala Harris among its elite membership. Susan designed and equipped the SCVTV Media Center in Newhall, developing it into a communications venue showcasing the talents and activities of the City, local schools, and a variety of nonprofit arts, music, and community service organizations.<\/p><p>After graduating from Stanford University in the 1980s with a degree in English literature with an interdisciplinary emphasis on art, Susan earned a teaching credential from Arizona State University. She taught video production, broadcast television, mass media, and film aesthetics to high school students in Phoenix, developed educational programs for television networks (Bravo, NBC Universal) and worked in production and post-production for Tri-Star Pictures, ABC International, and others.<\/p><p>As the cable company&#8217;s Community Television Manager in Santa Clarita from 1993 to 2007, Susan developed and provided support for hundreds of individual programs and series related to the visual and performing arts. Early on, she fostered relationships with video production instructors in the William S. Hart Union High School District and COC, turning SCVTV into a classroom laboratory for students.<\/p><p>Today Susan lives in Santa Clarita and produces a live daily television program for Time Warner Cable&#8217;s Southern California viewers. Local public service positions include the Santa Clarita Repertory Theatre board (2003-04), Newhall Redevelopment Committee (2002-09), City of Santa Clarita Citizens Public Library Advisory Committee (2010-11) and William S. Raised in a musical family, Andrea&#8217;s polished vocal technique and wholesome American spirit shine through with every musical tale she writes. Singing professionally since the age of twelve, she has performed on nearly every continent on the globe. A featured soloist with several musical acts including Big Bands and Orchestras, Andrea toured the United States, Europe, South America, the South Pacific, and the Middle East. A team-up with World Vision took her to Africa for a famine-relief benefit concert tour, and she has performed at both the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and the North Sea Jazz Festival in Holland. &#8220;Miss Andrea&#8221;, the on-air radio personality of a popular children&#8217;s radio show led her to sing on the Kids Love Series recordings. Along with her band The Good Vibes, Ms. Vibe has been a featured act at The Golden Nugget, Las Vegas; Carnival Cruises; and Knotts Berry Farm.<\/p><p>Andrea&#8217;s dedication to developing her natural talent led her to train at UC Berkley and Cal State Fullerton where she received a BM in Vocal Performance. Teaching and coaching has become a great passion and because of this love, Andrea founded Vibe Performing Arts in 1994 located in Valencia Plaza to include a multi-purpose theatre, a dance studio, and seven private lesson studios. VIBE has succeeded by maintaining a high caliber of teachers and many performance opportunities. With over twenty five instructors and three hundred weekly students, VIBE has become the largest performing arts studio in the Santa Clarita Valley.<\/p><p>Besides directing VIBE, she is an Associate Music Professor at College of the Canyons teaching History of Rock &amp; Roll and Vocal Development courses since 1997.<\/p><p>Ms. Vibe is a singing coach for celebrities, contestants on the hit TV
