Pay attention to door hangers and \u201cNo Parking\u201d signs for upcoming construction and potential sidewalk closures. If your drive approach is going to be replaced, you will be notified and you will be restricted from access to your driveway for one week. Please pay close attention to hand-delivered notices and road work signs.<\/p>

Will I be able to use my driveway?<\/h4>

If you received a notice that says your drive approach will be replaced, you will not be able to access your driveway for one week. Please be sure to move vehicles from your driveway or garage if you wish to use them during this timeframe. The problem will be addressed with either a permanent repair (such as filling in cracks or grinding down the concrete to level it) or a temporary repair (such as adding asphalt to create a ramp between uneven sections of concrete). Temporary repairs are then added to the rehabilitation list.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Review<ul><li>After the initial repairs have removed the threat of danger, the area will be assessed again and prioritized on the rehabilitation list for future mending. An inspection of City sidewalks, gutters, curbs and drive approaches happens each week, year-round. Other problem areas noticed during inspections are added to the rehabilitation list.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Rehabilitation<ul><li>During rehabilitation, the old concrete is removed, the path of travel is leveled to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and new concrete is poured. The division is responsible for maintaining all City streets, public rights-of-way, alleys, and easements, as well as ensuring that City facilities remain clean, safe, and inviting.
