The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of September 23, 2025:

Highlights of actions taken include: 

• Recognized the Sister Cities Young Artist and Authors Showcase Winners, proclaimed September 2025 as National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and designated September 15 – October 15, 2025 as National Hispanic Heritage Month.
• Awarded a professional services contract to Twinning, Inc., to provide special inspections and material testing services in support of the Hydrogen Production and Fueling Project (F1026) at the Transit Maintenance Facility, for a total contract amount not to exceed $412,638.
• Approved an agreement with the Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging that will support home-delivered meals; transit-related services; and recreation, health, and wellness programs for seniors, in the amount of $525,000.
• Approved Parcel Map No. 83806 (Triumph Ave.) for subdivision purposes, located on the east side of the City of Santa Clarita, in the Sand Canyon area.
• Adjourned the meeting in memoriam for James “Jim” Tanner.

Regular City Council meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall.
