We adjourn tonight’s meeting in memory of Veronica Lebecki, who passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born in London, England, on August 25, 1937, Veronica’s life was marked by resilience and grace.
As a young girl, she lived through the Blitz during World War II before beginning a career as a fashion model in 1950s London.
In 1956, she immigrated to the United States, where she built a successful career in the Beverly Hills beauty industry, remaining there until her retirement in her 70s.
Always elegant and impeccably fashionable, Veronica brought style, warmth and kindness wherever she went.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.
Veronica loved entertaining, hosting memorable gatherings and bringing people together.
She also enjoyed boating and scuba diving, and approached every new experience with a spirit of adventure.
Those who knew her describe her as genuinely caring, endlessly generous and someone who made everyone feel welcome.
Veronica was also the beloved mother of local real estate professional and cherished community member Mike Lebecki, whose friendship and commitment to Santa Clarita have made a lasting impact on so many.
On behalf of the City of Santa Clarita, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mike, his family and all of Veronica’s loved ones.
May they find comfort in knowing she lived a remarkable life filled with love, friendship and adventure, and that her memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
