Adult/Teen Learn to Swim Drop-In

This swim class is designed for adults who want to either learn or improve water skills under the guidance of a trained instructor. This drop-in class held at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center allows you to work on personal goals and progress at your own rate.

Adult Water Polo

Every Thursday night, the Aquatic Center will have a water polo course set up for open play. Bring your friends and pick your own teams (must be 18+ to participate).

Beginning Diving

This course teaches correct approaches and entries, as well as dives in the straight, pike, and tuck positions. Students need to be comfortable in deep water and have Level 4 completion skills, or higher, to enroll.

Competitive Stroke Instruction

For ages 6 to 15, this workout-type class will help students stay in swimming shape as well as improving abilities in all strokes, starts, turns and finishes. Each session provides an ideal way to stay in shape. Participants should be comfortable in deep water and capable of swimming 25 yards comfortably in order to enroll in this class.

Lap Swim

Swim your way to a healthier lifestyle! The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center offers a wide variety of lap swim hours. Children, ages 8-14, who wish to work-out must be comfortable in deep water and accompanied in the water by an adult when they swim.

Swim Lessons

American Red Cross swim lessons are offered for Levels 1 through 4. Please see the swim lessons flow chart to place your child in the appropriate level. Pre-registration is required online.

Underwater Hockey

Underwater Hockey is a low impact co-ed sport that encourages all to play and test their skills. The open play format requires no commitment, so beginners 16+ are encouraged to give it a try.

Water Exercise

A “stress-free environment” Water Exercise class will provide strength, muscle toning, and endurance building, promoting greater flexibility. Belts and dumbbells will be provided, or you may bring your own. Participants should be comfortable in deep water.

Water Volleyball

Join us Sunday mornings for Water Volleyball at the Valencia Community Center! The pool will be set up for water volleyball games in waist-to-chest deep water. Matches accommodate up to 10 players and are perfect for all skill levels (ages 13+). Enjoy a fun, active way to spend your morning. Note: Pre-registration is required
