City of Santa Clarita Press Release

Celebrate May the Fourth Be With You at Central Park

The City of Santa Clarita invites residents and visitors of all ages to step into a galaxy far, far away at May the 4th Be With You, taking place on Monday, May 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Central Park. Set against the scenic backdrop of Central Park’s River of Lights, this free, family-friendly celebration will bring the community together for an evening filled with themed activities, entertainment and a special outdoor movie experience.

The night will kick off with a live performance by the Saugus High School Band and Color Guard, setting the tone for an exciting evening. All 200 lights of the River of Lights will illuminate the night with a show that will transport you out of this world just in time for a special screening of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, beginning at 7:45 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to relax under the stars and enjoy this iconic film with family, friends and fellow fans. Food trucks offering both savory and sweet options will be on-site, serving up bites strong enough to satisfy even the hungriest Jedi.

Throughout the event, guests can enjoy a variety of interactive activities for all ages, including a parkour obstacle course, lightsaber battle zone with complimentary pool-noodle lightsabers available for the first 200 guests and fun field games such as volleyball, soccer and cornhole to keep the entire family entertained.

No Star Wars event is complete without a little costume fun. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters; you never know who you will run into in this galaxy. Special appearances from beloved galactic icons may occur throughout the evening!

Join us for this one-of-a-kind screening and community event and May the 4th Be With You. For more information about this event and other upcoming City programs, please visit SantaClarita.gov.
