Looking for a way to give back and make a meaningful impact in Santa Clarita? On Saturday, October 24, the City of Santa Clarita invites residents of all ages to get involved in the fourth annual Make a Difference Day, a nationwide day of service that brings communities together through volunteerism.
This year, volunteers can choose from 25 City and nonprofit projects, offering meaningful ways to support local organizations and improve community spaces. From volunteering along the Chuck Pontius Commuter Rail Trail to helping create a better environment for animals by beautifying enclosures at William S. Hart Park, there is something for everyone. Volunteers can also sort donations with the Rise Foundation, revitalize a space at the Boys & Girls Club to make it safer and easier to use during programming or deep clean the Finally Family Homes Oasis Center to help create a more welcoming space for the individuals and families they serve.
These projects are just a glimpse of the many ways volunteers can get involved. Each opportunity provides a chance to see the difference a few hours of service can make while learning more about the City facilities and nonprofit organizations that serve the Santa Clarita community.
Whether you volunteer on your own or bring along friends and family, Make a Difference Day is a chance to come together, lend a hand and make a lasting impact.
