Notice of Road Resurfacing on Neighboring Streets

For residents indirectly impacted by the City of Santa Clarita’s Annual Road Rehabilitation program, this notice provides details about the upcoming Overlay treatment. The City is proud to deliver road improvements that enhance the appearance of our streets and benefit local residents.

Overlay Construction

The City’s contractor will be resurfacing neighboring streets using an overlay treatment. Overlay is a new layer of asphalt that is applied to existing roadways, which may include removal or replacement of portions of the existing asphalt. The new asphalt is then placed in single or multiple layers depending on the thickness of the overlay. This process restores the street and keeps it smooth.

Project Schedule
The overall project is scheduled to occur between Spring and late Fall. Construction near the neighborhoods
affected is anticipated to begin within the next few weeks of receiving your paper notice. Normal working hours will be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday, although weekend and evening/night work may occur.
