Notice of Road Resurfacing on Neighboring Streets
For residents indirectly impacted by the City of Santa Clarita’s Annual Road Rehabilitation program, this notice provides details about the upcoming Overlay treatment. The City is proud to deliver road improvements that enhance the appearance of our streets and benefit local residents.
Overlay Construction
The City’s contractor will be resurfacing neighboring streets using an overlay treatment. Overlay is a new layer of asphalt that is applied to existing roadways, which may include removal or replacement of portions of the existing asphalt. The new asphalt is then placed in single or multiple layers depending on the thickness of the overlay. This process restores the street and keeps it smooth.
Project Schedule
The overall project is scheduled to occur between Spring and late Fall. Construction near the neighborhoods
affected is anticipated to begin within the next few weeks of receiving your paper notice. Normal working hours will be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday, although weekend and evening/night work may occur.

AVISO DE REPAVIMENTACIÓN DE CARRETERAS EN CALLES VECINAS
Para los residentes indirectamente afectados por el programa anual de rehabilitación vial de la Ciudad de Santa Clarita, este aviso proporciona detalles sobre el próximo tratamiento de la superposición. La Ciudad se enorgullece de realizar mejoras viales que realzan la apariencia de nuestras calles y benefician a los residentes locales.
Construcción superpuesta
El contratista de la Ciudad repavimentará las calles vecinas usando un tratamiento de superposición. Superpuesta es una nueva capa de asfalto que se aplica a las carreteras existentes, lo que puede incluir la eliminación o el reemplazo de partes del asfalto existente. Luego, el nuevo asfalto se coloca en capas simples o múltiples según el espesor de la capa superpuesta. Este proceso restaura la calle y la mantiene suave.
Horario del proyecto
El programa general de rehabilitación vial de la Ciudad se llevará a cabo entre la primavera y finales del otoño. Se prevé que la construcción en las calles directamente afectadas comience unas semanas después de recibir su notificación impresa. El horario laboral habitual será de 7:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m. de lunes a viernes, aunque podrían realizarse trabajos durante el fin de semana y en horario nocturno.
