The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 27, 2017:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Approved the Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2017-18.
- Approved a one-time donation of $350,000 to Habitat for Humanity in support of the Enriched Neighborhood Affordable Housing Veterans’ project.
- Approved establishing multi-way stop controls on Pamplico Drive at Carnegie Avenue and Ron Ridge Drive.
- Held a public hearing and first reading of the 2017 Sign Ordinance Update. The second reading will take place at the July 11, 2017 City Council meeting.
- Held the first reading for the amendments to Chapter 6.02. The second reading will take place at the July 11, 2017 City Council meeting.
- Appointed Councilmember Marsha McLean as a voting delegate for the City of Santa Clarita for the 2017 League of California Cities Annual Conference. Additionally, designated Mayor Cameron Smyth to serve as an alternate.
