The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 8, 2016:

Highlights of action taken include:

  • Support of State Assembly Bill 1565 and Assembly Billx2 1, which seeks to expand upon the level and variety of services offered for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Approval of the proposed traffic-calming plan for Dorothy Street and Ermine Street which includes the installation of 12 sets of speed cushions and one additional multiway stop-controlled intersection.
  • Appointment of Councilmember McLean as the City delegate and Mayor Pro Tem Dante Acosta as the alternate to the 2016 Southern California Association of Governments’ General Assembly.
  • Adoption of the 2016 Arts Master Plan.
  • Approval to rename “River Village Park” in honor of the late Commissioner Duane Harte to “Duane Harte Park at River Village.”
