The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2016:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Authorizing the installation of a multiway stop controls at the intersections of Dorothy Street at Florence Lane, Langside Avenue at Dorothy Street and Langside Avenue at Ermine Street
- Approval for a sanitary sewer at the Walnut Park Cottages
- Authorizing an agreement with Southern California Edison regarding design for a future utility undergrounding project along the Soledad Canyon corridor
- Renewal of Landscape Maintenance District contracts with ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Inc.
- Award of a contract with Oak Springs Nursery, Inc. for outdoor streetscape cleaning and landscape maintenance in the Downtown Newhall area.
The City Council also held a Public Hearing regarding adjustment to Consolidated Fire Protection District developer fees and discussed salary adjustments for future City Councils.
