The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2017:

Highlights of action taken include:

  • Approved the plans and specifications for the Newhall Ranch Road Bridge Widening Project over the San Francisquito Creek.
  • Adopted a resolution to create a new zone in Landscape Maintenance District No. 1, Zone 32 (Vista Canyon Ranch).
  • Approved an amendment to the 2016-17 Municipal Law Enforcement Services Agreement for one additional Motor Deputy.
  • Nominated and approved appointments to the Planning Commission, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, Arts Commission, Open Space Preservation District Financial Accountability and Audit Panel, and the City’s appointment to the Los Angeles County Vector Control Board.

A special meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall for the purpose of considering candidates and potentially appointing a new member to serve on the City Council. 

Regular City Council meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. 

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
