The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2017:

Highlights of action taken include:

  • Approved a three year extension to a lease agreement authorizing Bridge to Home to operate a Temporary Emergency Winter Shelter.
  • Named April 11 as Arts Day in Santa Clarita. 
  • Approved a two-year contract for the support and maintenance of the City’s financial system.
  • Held a public hearing and adopted a resolution approving the Engineer’s Report for Drainage Benefit Assessment Area No. 2017-2 (Golden Valley Ranch).
  • Appointed Victor Lindenheim as the new Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commissioner.
