The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 22, 2019:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Received a presentation regarding the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission Goals for 2019.
- Awarded a design and build contract to design and install nine electric vehicle charging stations at various locations citywide. This included the authorization to execute a donation agreement with FivePoint for eight commercial charging stations.
- Awarded a contract to Cubic Transportation System, Inc., in the amount of $1,314,678, for the procurement and installation of upgraded regional bus TAP farebox equipment.
- Approved the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2017-2018, completed by the independent audit firm, Vavrinek, Trine, Day & Co., LLP. Based on the audit performed the City received an unmodified “clean” audit opinion letter which reflects the best level an organization can receive on its financial statement.
- Approved the City Council Committee Appointments list for 2019.
