The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 25, 2020:
Highlights include:
- Proclaimed February 2020, as Black History Month in the City of Santa Clarita.
- Recognized Mike Mazzetti for his service at SCVTV, including his role in live streaming the Saugus Strong vigil so the entire community could participate.
- Approved Parcel Map No. 82483 – Orchard Village Medical Office Building – and accepted on behalf of the public the offer of dedication of easements for public use and sidewalk purposes.
- Renewed the Industrial Waste Service Agreement between the City of Santa Clarita and the County of Los Angeles for the enforcement of the City’s Wastewater Ordinance.
- Awarded contract to Pyro Spectaculars North, Inc., for the 2020 Fourth of July Fireworks Show in an amount not to exceed $30,000 annually.
- Adopted an ordinance extending the moratorium on the establishment of restaurant drive-throughs through and including January 14, 2021.
- Approved the City Council Committee Appointments list for 2020.
