The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2020:

Highlights of action taken include:

  • Approved amending the City’s contract with D-Tech International USA to authorize an expenditure authority increase in the amount of $47,425, for the purchase and installation of two self-service library hold locker systems at the Valencia Library and Jo Anne Darcy Canyon Country Library.
  • Approved the plans and specifications for the 2019-20 Paseo Bridge Maintenance and Painting Program, Project M0132.
  • Awarded the construction contract for Mountain View Park Play Area and Shade Structure, Phase II, Project P4017 to Golden Sun Enterprise, Inc., for a total contract amount not to exceed $512,355.
  • Directed staff to send a letter, signed by the Mayor, to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the City’s State Representatives regarding potential flexibility in the reopening of local businesses and facilities.
