The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Awarded a contract to Way Sine for the replacement and installation of real-time bus information units in an amount not to exceed $465,419.
- Awarded a three-year contract to Taft Electric Company to provide recurring streetlight maintenance services for an annual amount of $120,000 plus an additional $480,000 in contract expenditure authority for as-needed services arising from emergencies and streetlight knockdown replacements, for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,800,000.
- Awarded the design contract for Saugus Phase I – Bouquet Canyon Trail to Central Park to Dokken Engineering for a total contract amount not to exceed $160,671.
- Adopted ordinances updating sections Chapter 11.37 related to peddlers and sidewalk vendors and Chapter 14.06 related to parks and public places of the Santa Clarita Municipal Code.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted the Housing Element and Safety Element Updates to ensure compliance with State law.
