The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 28, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Received a presentation of the 2022 Public Opinion Poll Results.
- Conducted a second public hearing and adopted the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program.
- Adopted a resolution calling and giving notice of the General Municipal Election to be held November 8, 2022, for seats currently held by Laurene Weste, Marsha McLean, and Bill Miranda.
- Awarded two-year Landscape Maintenance Contracts to Oakridge Landscape Inc. for the maintenance of LMD Zone T2A (Skyline Ranch) and to American Heritage Landscape, Inc. for the maintenance of LMD Zone T52 (Stonecrest) in amounts not to exceed $104,404 and $275,885, respectively.
- Approved a construction contract to Pardess Air Inc, for Transit Maintenance Facility Equipment Upgrades – Phases I and III, Project M1033. for a total amount not to exceed $569,800.
- Awarded construction contracts to HELIX Environmental Planning, Inc. for the McBean Parkway Bridge Environmental Mitigation, Project R1005 and the Newhall Ranch Road Bridge Environmental Mitigation, Project R1006, for total contract amount not to exceed $946,505 and $1,181,451, respectively.
- Approved the acquisition of real property acquisition of 200 +/- acres in Los Angeles County, adjacent to Haskell Canyon Open Space in a total contract amount not to exceed $1,635,500.
- Dedicated an easement to the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency for the Castaic Conduit Bypass Pipeline Project.
