The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 23, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Appointed Councilwoman Marsha McLean as the City’s voting delegate and appointed Mayor Pro Tem Jason Gibbs and Councilmember Bill Miranda as the alternate voting delegate for the 2022 League of California Cities Annual Conference.
- Awarded a construction contract to R.C. Becker and Son, Inc., for the 2020-21 Circulation Improvement Program, Phase II, Project C0064, for a total contract amount not to exceed $791,944.
- Awarded a design contract to Pacific Coast Land Design, Inc., for the Newhall Gateway Beautification, Project B2018, for a total contract amount not to exceed $466,758.
- Adopted a Supplemental Joint Resolution between the City and County of Los Angeles for the proposed Tesoro Del Valle Annexation Area and approved a Park Transfer Agreement for the Tesoro Historic Adobe House.
- Approved the Fourth Amendment to the Ground Lease Agreement with Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency for the Central Park Sports Facility, extending the lease through January 1, 2038, for an amount not to exceed $500.
- Adjourned the meeting in-memoriam of Gloria “Glo” Donnelly, Jerry Gladbach, Jack Hannah and Lila Littlejohn.
