The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 27, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed September 15 to October 15, 2022, as Hispanic Heritage Month and October 2022 as German-American Heritage Month.
- Received a presentation from Southern California Edison on Wildfire Mitigation – Expedited Grid Hardening Plans.
- Conducted a public hearing, adopted a resolution approving the implementation and financing of the City’s Energy Infrastructure Modernization Program, and awarded an Installation Agreement and Measurement and Verification Agreement to Climatec LLC., in amounts not to exceed $35,129,467 and $28,000, respectively.
- Approved a Sponsorship Agreement with Kaiser Permanente for the Presenting Level Sponsorship of the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center.
- Approved the draft Memorandum of Understanding that was negotiated between the City of Santa Clarita and the Service Employees International Union, Local 721.
