The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, December 13, 2022:

Highlights of action taken include:

  • Adopted the 2022 California Building Standards Code with local amendments, effective January 1, 2023.
  • Adopted a resolution amending the budgets for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
  • Awarded a two-year contract to MMO Partners, for federal advocacy services, in the amount not to exceed $77,000 annually.
  • Approved the “piggyback” purchase of renewable green diesel fuel from TACenergy, LLC,  for a total contract amount not to exceed $340,000.
  • Awarded a contract to Michael Baker International, Inc., for the preparation of the Santa Clarita Commerce Center Project Environmental Impact Report (Master Case 20-091), for a total contract amount not to exceed $265,365.
  • Awarded a two-year contract to Stay Green, Inc., to provide landscape maintenance services and as-needed repairs at nine City parks, for a total contract amount not to exceed $855,958.
  • Awarded a design contract to Psomas, for the improvements and expansion of David March Park, for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,276,760.
  • Adopted a resolution to authorize the City of Santa Clarita to work with the State Department of Parks and Recreation to receive a state grant for open space acquisition.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
