The following is a recap of the City Council meeting on October 24, 2023:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Recommended Mayor Gibbs to serve on the Los Angeles County Executive Committee on Homelessness.
- Approved an agreement with the Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging to provide $475,000, to support opportunities for recreation and wellness programs, transit-related services, and home-delivered meals for seniors.
- Adopted a resolution ratifying the existence of a local emergency related to the MV Transportation bus driver strike that began on October 9, 2023, and the associated emergency contract with Transit Systems Unlimited, Inc.
