The following is a recap of the City Council meeting on February 27, 2024:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed March 8, 2024, as International Women’s Day.
- Recognized La Cocina Bar and Grill for their 30th Anniversary.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted resolutions approving the Engineer’s Report for the Fiscal Year 2024-25 annual levy of assessments for the Drainage Benefit Assessment Area 2023-1.
- Conducted a public hearing and received information regarding the results of the annual Community Needs Assessment Survey conducted as part of the Community Development Block Grant Program for the 2024-25 program year.
- Nominated and approved the appointment of Di Thompson to the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission.
- Supported the following state legislative items: Assembly Bill 1772, Assembly Bill 1779, Assembly Bill 1802, Assembly Bill 1804, Assembly Bill 1848, Senate Bill 905, Senate Bill 923, and Senate Bill 928.
