Pool Facility Rules & Regulations
- Children 12 and under must pass a swim test before using the diving board. (This test may also be required for anyone who does not demonstrate the ability to swim safely in the deep end).
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at any given time.
- Before diving, the water surrounding the diving board must be clear of all swimmers.
- Only one bounce is permitted per dive.
- Divers must go straight off of the diving board – not to the sides.
- Only forward jumps, forward dives or forward flips may be attempted from the diving board.
- The following dives are prohibited: INWARD, REVERSE, TWISTING, SITTING, HANDSTAND or BACK DIVES – If in doubt, please check with the Lifeguard on duty.
- After diving, you must immediately swim away from the diving area. Do not swim under the diving board.
- Diving (starting) blocks are off limits to all patrons during recreational swim times.
- Any diver acting dangerously or disobeying any rule will be prohibited from using the diving board and may be dismissed from the facility.
- The City of Santa Clarita reserves the right to refuse and/or revoke admittance as a safety precaution to protect all patrons.
Water Slide Rules & Regulations
- All riders must be at least 48 inches tall to ride the water slide.
- Do not stop, slow down or form a chain of riders on the slide.
- Do not stand up on the slide at any time.
- The riding position is lying on the back with feet first or sitting facing forward.
- No lifejackets may be worn on the slide at any time.
- No eyeglasses, sunglasses or goggles may be worn on the slide.
- No T-shirts may be worn on the slide.
- Riders must wait until the lifeguard signals them to enter the slide.
- Only one patron on the slide is permitted at a time.
- No rough-housing or horseplay is permitted on the stairs at any time.
- Swimsuits with metal or plastic on the backs/sides are not permitted on waterslide.
Pool Facility Rules & Regulations
- All patrons, ages 3 and older, must pay the mandatory facility entry fee.
- All patrons must obey the direction of Lifeguards and Aquatic Section Staff.
- Appropriate swimwear must be worn.
- Children ages 2 and under must wear swim diapers under their swimsuits. remove i.e. swim diapers.
- Only Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted in the pool during recreational swim times.
- The use of masks, fins, or snorkels in not permitted in the pool during recreational swim times.
- No running on the pool deck, or in the pool building.
- No diving in the shallow end of the pool (or other designated areas).
- Dangerous horseplay, including hanging on other swimmers backs is prohibited.
- No sitting or hanging on the deep-water buoy line.
- No glass containers permitted in the pool facility.
- The use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products is strictly prohibited.
- No pets allowed in the facility at any time (service animals permitted).
- Only Lifeguards are permitted to use the Lifeguard towers.
- Patrons must keep clear of areas under the Lifeguard towers.
- Children, ages 12 and under, must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Active in-water supervision by an adult is required for all non-swimmers.
- Children, 12 and under, must pass a deep-water test before entering the deep end of the pool (this test may also be required for anyone who does not demonstrate the ability to swim safely in deeper water)
- Groups of 25 or more must come during the designated Day Camp time.
- The City reserves the right to refuse and/or revoke admittance as a safety precaution to protect all patrons.
