Introduction
Welcome to Summer 2024 at the City of Santa Clarita’s Newhall Community Center! This summer, we are thrilled to offer several summer programs designed for youth aged 5-12 and teens 13-17 years old. With an environment that fosters growth and development through recreational and creative activities, these programs are tailored to engage and inspire. Participants can look forward to a wide array of activities including arts and crafts, organized sports and games, special guest presenters, outdoor water play days, and field trips for teens!
Registration Information
Summer registration begins on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. While we are happy to assist you in-person, we advise you register online, as this is the fastest way to register, and spots fill up quickly! Program Information
Summer Programs begin Monday, June 10 and end Friday, August 9.
Art and Enrichment Camp offers youth a variety of arts, crafts, STEAM activities, and opportunities to be creative all summer long. This camp is a great option for creative children or youth who thrive in low-impact activities. No prior experience in art classes needed to join.
Sports and Recreation Camp is designed for youth who enjoy high-impact activities and recreational play. This camp will feature a different sport every two weeks and offer all-day play – perfect for children with high energy or athletic youth. This program does not require prior experience in sports and is beginner friendly.
Summer Teen Experience
This free program for 13 to 17-year-olds will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Teen Experience participants may also sign up for optional field trips.
Summer Lunch Program
School Day Café (Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency) will provide healthy meals during summer break for all children 18 and under. While supplies last, lunch will be served from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and MUST be consumed on site. To view this month’s menu, visit schooldaycafe.org.
The 2024 summer lunch program will begin Monday, June 10 and conclude Friday, August 2, 2024. Lunches will not be served on Juneteenth (June 19) or July Fourth.
