The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 26, 2016:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Awarding a contract for the Valencia Boulevard Median Refurbishment project
- Adopting an ordinance to annex of the West Creek and West Hills area
- Adopting an ordinance for the levy of special taxes of the Santa Clarita Community Facilities District 2016-1 (Vista Canyon)
- Approved creation of a City Parking Authority
- Approved an urgency ordinance establishing a moratorium on certain retail uses in the Old Town Newhall Specific Plan.
The City Council also held a public hearing regarding the Draft 2016-17 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and Funding Recommendations.
