Agents of Discovery is an outdoor educational mobile application that encourages residents and their families to get outdoors and learn about City history and environmental conservation though a fun geo-triggered experience. Users can play by downloading the mission titled City of Santa Clarita – Central Park to their mission library. Users can then begin their journey by following the on-screen prompts from the apps friendly tour-guide: Agent Red Hawk. Users are encouraged to create their own account to earn special in-game rewards. In addition to the first challenge at Central Park, more challenges will be available to residents at other City locations within the coming months. YOUTH SPORTS FITNESS FRENZY
Join the Frenzy! The Youth Sports Fitness Frenzy is a FREE activity that encourages youth to exercise outdoors, promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. By keeping track of biking, hiking, running, or walking mileage, participants will be recognized with prizes for reaching different overall milestones. Simply register through the on-line Seasons Catalog at santaclarita.gov/seasons and report your mileage to the Youth Sports office at (661) 250-3756 or youthsports@santaclarita.gov to track your progress.
YOUTH SPORTS WEEKLY CHALLENGE
Take part in weekly challenges for bragging rights or just for fun. Share your challenge attempt videos or pictures with the Youth Sports Facebook Page @SantaClaritaYouthSports for a chance to be featured on the Youth Sports Facebook page. New challenges will be posted every week.
