The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 26, 2019:

Highlights include:

  • Proclaimed November 2019, as Homeless Awareness Month in the City of Santa Clarita.
  • Awarded a contract to Gillig Corporation for the purchase and delivery of four 30-foot compressed natural gas buses in an amount not to exceed $2,528,378.
  • Conducted a second reading and adopted an ordinance to prezone approximately 1,786 acres associated with the Tesoro del Valle Annexation Area.
  • Conducted a second reading of an ordinance regulating small wireless facilities and adopted a policy for the approval and deployment of small cellular facilities within the City public right-of-way.
  • Awarded a one-year contract to TV Pro Gear for the Phase II and III design and installation of Council Chambers Broadcast Room, Century Conference Room and two remote sites in an amount not to exceed $472,000.
  • Awarded a grant to the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society in the amount of $25,000 to replace the roof of the Newhall Ranch House, located in Heritage Junction Historic Park.
