The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2015:
CONSENT CALENDAR—Highlights of the Consent Calendar included:
- Approval to purchase a portion of 24650 Avenue Rockefeller for the construction of an ADA compliant access ramp along the west side of the San Francisquito Creek Trail
- Approval of an update to the City of Santa Clarita Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
- Renewal of an LMD contract with ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance
- Adoption of an ordinance to grant Valencia Water Company a water franchise
The City Council also held a PUBLIC HEARING regarding the establishment of a Drainage Benefit Assessment Area at the Five Knolls development project.
In the UNFINISHED BUSINESS section of the meeting, the City Council discussed the California Public Utilities Commission Net Energy Metering Successor Program.
In the NEW BUSINESS section of the meeting, the City Council introduced and passed to a second reading of an ordinance concerning terms of office of the three City Commissions and the Financial Accountability and Audit Panel due to the change in date of the General Municipal Election.

Regular City Council meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. The next regular meeting will be held onTuesday, November 24, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
