The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2021:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Received an annual report by the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation.
- Supported the following pieces of state and federal legislation:Assembly Bill 91, Assembly Bill 420, Senate Bill 341, Senate Bill 533, and House Resolution 1075.
- Awarded a design contract to Dokken Engineering to address the constructability review of the Sierra Highway Bridge, Project S3038, for a total contract amount not to exceed $691,361.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted a resolution to adjust the Consolidated Fire Protection District developer fee from $1.2831 per square foot to $1.3120 per square foot.
- Discussed the Special Directives issued by Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón and adopted a resolution of a vote of no confidence in District Attorney George Gascón.
