The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Conducted a public hearing, authorized the City Manager to enter into a Pre-Annexation agreement and an Open Space Maintenance and Management Agreement with BLC Tesoro, LLC, and adopted a resolution authorizing BLC Tesoro, LLC, to pursue the use of Bond Opportunities for Land Development (BOLD) program through the California Municipal Finance Authority to levy special taxes for the Tesoro Highlands development.
- Adopted resolutions approving amendments with USA Waste of California, Inc. (Waste Management) and Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. to reflect waste hauling rate adjustments.
- Awarded a construction contract to Slater Waterproofing, Inc., for the 2021-22 Paseo Bridge Maintenance and Painting Program for a total contract amount not to exceed $412,384.
- Awarded a contract to Michael Baker International for professional services and environmental review for the Town Center Specific Plan for a total contract amount not to exceed $499,998.
- Awarded a construction contract to California Commercial Pools to remodel and replace damaged pool deck concrete surrounding the 25- and 50- meter pools and subsequently re-plastering both pools at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, for a total contract amount not to exceed $2,962,080.
