The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, September 13, 2022:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Committed $300,000 in funding to SCVTV to upgrade the digital historical archive, SCVHistory.com, and authorized staff to initiate a Memorandum of Understanding to transfer ownership of the asset to the City of Santa Clarita and to integrate it into the Santa Clarita Public Library.
- Awarded a five-year maintenance contract to Java Connections, LLC, in the total amount not to exceed $68,010.45, for Santa Clarita Public Library laptop kiosks, including delivery and installation.
- Authorized a one-time appropriation in the amount of $40,000 from Drainage Benefit Assessment Areas Fund 351 for needed repairs in DBAA 3.
- Approved ongoing expenditure increases to various landscape contracts, in the annual cumulative amount of $368,678 for expanded landscape services, as-needed maintenance and repairs, unanticipated work and one-time projects within multiple Landscape Maintenance zones.
