The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2023:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed April 2023 as DMV/Donate Life California Month and April 16 through April 22, 2023, as National Volunteer Week.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted a resolution adjusting the Consolidated Fire Protection District developer fee from $1.4316 per square foot to $1.5499 per square foot.
- Amended the Transit Funding Agreement for Vista Canyon and authorized the waiver of certain penalties and interest for the Community Facilities Districts and Water Factory within the Vista Canyon development.
- Approved one-year contract renewals with JAS Pacific, Scott Fazekas & Associates, Interwest Consulting Group, and TRB and Associates for building plan review, building inspections, and permit-related professional services, for a combined total amount not to exceed $500,000.
- Awarded a constructability review contract to RP Development Services for the Santa Clarita Roller Skating Rink project, in an amount not to exceed $274,844, and modified the existing design contract with Anil Verma Associates, Inc., for an additional contract amount not to exceed $559,620.
- Approved the plans and specifications for the 2021-22 Federal Overlay and Slurry Seal Program, and awarded the construction contract to Sully-Miller Contracting, Co., for a total amount not to exceed $4,358,532.
- Awarded a design contract for the Blue Cloud Bike Park to Avid Trails, for a total contract amount not to exceed $429,617.
