The following is a recap of the City Council meeting on June 11, 2024:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed the month of June 2024 as Pride Month and June 19, 2024 as Juneteenth.
- Recognized the 2023-24 Youth in Government Program participants.
- Conducted a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program and scheduled the budget for adoption at the June 25, 2024, City Council Meeting.
- Conducted a public hearing on the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Fee for Fiscal Year 2024-25.
- Adopted a resolution reappointing Councilmembers Gibbs and Weste to the Santa Clarita Board of Library Trustees for a three-year term, expiring June 30, 2027.
- Authorized funding for a two-year Public Television Management Services Agreement with Santa Clarita Valley Television.
- Adjourned the meeting in-memoriam of Kenneth R Spencer, Lillian Shaw, Diane Bergstrom, Bob Slocum, and Lilly Bidabe.
