The following is a recap of the City Council meeting on October 8, 2024:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed the month of October 2024 as Filipino American Heritage Month, German-American Heritage Month, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted amendments to the original conditions of approval, pre-annexation agreement, and community facilities district, for the Tesoro Del Valle project.
- Awarded a three-month contract to Geosyntec Consultants, Inc., to provide water testing services for the Vista Canyon Water Factory, for a total contract amount not to exceed $102,300.
- Awarded a two-year contract to Good Security, Inc., to provide security services for City parks and facilities, in an amount not to exceed $2,101,606, and an additional two-year contract for security services at the Santa Clarita Public Library, for a total contract amount not to exceed $249,871.
