The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting on June 10, 2025:
Highlights of actions taken include:
- Proclaimed June 19, 2025, as Juneteenth and June 2025 as LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.
- Conducted a Public Hearing and introduced an ordinance regarding the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Fee for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
- Adopted the Annual Budget and Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2025-26.
- Accepted $25,000 through the Safe, Clean Water Program’s Public Education and Community Engagement Grant to fund stormwater outreach initiatives.
- Awarded construction and professional service contracts for the 2024-25 Overlay Slurry Seal Program, Project M0157 – Overlay C and Overlay D to Toro Enterprises, Inc., and Slurry Seal project to American Asphalt South, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $3,218,063, $4,540,348, and $1,514,566, respectively.
