The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 28, 2017:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Adopted a resolution authorizing the reward of $10,000 regarding the disappearance of William Cierzan.
- Adopted the 2017 Legislative Platform with amendments as recommended by the City Council Legislative Committee.
- Approved the purchase of ten Big Belly Duo Recycling Units for placement at City bus stops.
- Approved the Facilities Use Agreement with the Santa Clarita Community College District for use of the College of the Canyons (Valencia campus) sports facilities.
- Adopted an ordinance pertaining to amendments to the Old Town Newhall Specific Plan.
- Discussed Senate Bill 634 and approved to support the bill pending amendments.
