The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of April 28, 2026:

Highlights of actions taken include:

  • Conducted a second reading and adopted an ordinance regarding amendments to the Santa Clarita Municipal Code’s accessory dwelling unit ordinance and two-unit development ordinance, and implementation of Housing Element Policy HP-2.1, pertaining to zoning for several housing types.
  • Awarded a three-year contract to Carahsoft Technology Corp., for a new agenda management system and a one-year contract for a public engagement platform, for total contract amounts not to exceed $168,026 and $26,846, respectively.
  • Awarded a five-year contract to Stay Green, Inc., to provide landscape maintenance services for Landscape Maintenance District Zone 29 (Villa Metro), Zone 30 (Penlon), and Zone 31 (Five Knolls), for a total contract amount not to exceed $733,370.
  • Awarded a construction contract to National Pools Inc., for the Valencia Glen Park Pool Re-Plaster project, for a total contract amount not to exceed $304,876.
  • Awarded construction and professional services contracts for the 2025-26 Federal Circulation Improvement Program, Phase IV project to C.A. Rasmussen, Inc., Dokken Engineering, and Allan E. Seward Engineering Geology, Inc., for total contract amounts not to exceed $2,602,812; $74,714; and $77,961, respectively.
