The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of June 9, 2026:

Highlights of actions taken include:

  • Proclaimed June 19, 2026, as Juneteenth and June 2026 as LGBTQIA+ Pride Month.
  • Recognized the William S. Hart School District’s 80th anniversary.
  • Adopted the Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal Year 2026-27.
  • Amended an agreement with Climatec, LLC, to authorize the installation of solar panels at three City facilities and the replacement of paseo pole lighting within the Northbridge community to improve system reliability and performance, in the amount of $2,542,608.
  • Approved funding uses for Measure A Local Solutions Funds, in the amount of $531,272, to support grants for Family Promise and Bridge to Home and to fund a Homeless Services Intern.
  • Awarded a design contract to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for the Circulation Improvement Program, Copper Hill Drive at West Hills Drive and Bouquet Canyon Road at Central Park, in an amount not to exceed $711,878.
  • Awarded a contract to Michael Baker International, Inc., for the preparation of the Sunridge Development project Environmental Impact Report, in an amount not to exceed $1,245,873.
