The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of March 24, 2026:
Highlights of actions taken include:
- Proclaimed March 29, 2026, as National Vietnam War Veteran’s Day and April 24, 2026, as National Arbor Day.
- Awarded a three-year contract to Mellady Direct Marketing for the printing and mailing of the State of the City newsletters, in an amount not to exceed $103,159.
- Awarded a one-year contract to Andy Gump, Inc., for portable sanitation and temporary fencing services for various City parks, facilities and events, in an amount not to exceed $106,022.
- Awarded a one-year contract to Ingram Library Services, LLC, for books and materials for the Santa Clarita Public Library, for a total contract amount not to exceed $800,000, and approved a contract authorization increase to the City’s existing agreement with Midwest Tape to provide audiobooks, eBooks, movies, and music, for a total contract amount not to exceed $79,999, respectively.
- Awarded construction and professional service contracts for the 2025-26 Overlay Slurry Seal Program, Overlay A and B, Project M0164, to Vance Corporation, All American Asphalt, Twinning, Inc., and Hunsaker and Associates, Los Angeles, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $9,059,162, $2,278,255, $1,415,838, and $146,300, respectively.
- Adjourned the meeting in memory of Violet Uzawa Dorio.
