The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of February 24, 2026:
Highlights of actions taken include:
- Proclaimed March 8, 2026, as International Women’s Day.
- Annexed several parcels into the Santa Clarita Streetlight Maintenance District, Zone B.
- Adopted a resolution denying Appeal 25-003, and affirming the Planning Commission’s denial of request for the Lyons Self Storage Project (Master Case 25-039).
- Awarded a contract to True North Research, Inc., for the City’s Public Opinion Poll, in the amount of $34,964.
- Awarded a contract to MGT Impact Solutions for the replacement of security cameras at the McBean Regional Transit Center and the Transit Maintenance Facility, for a total contract amount not to exceed $201,868.
- Approved plans and specifications for the 2025-26 Concrete Rehabilitation Program and awarded a construction contract to MSH Development Group, Inc., for a total contract amount not to exceed $506,238.
