The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of February 10, 2026:
Highlights of actions taken include:
- Proclaimed February 2026 as Black History Month.
- Approved the City of Santa Clarita’s new five-year strategic plan, Santa Clarita Pathway Forward.
- Conducted a public hearing and received information regarding the results of the annual Community Needs Assessment Survey conducted as part of the Community Development Block Grant Program for the 2026-27 Program Year.
- Conducted a public hearing and annexed parcels located in Tract 53074 into the City of Santa Clarita Landscape Maintenance District No. 1, Zone 33 (Sand Canyon Plaza). Levies will begin in Fiscal Year 2026-27.
- Awarded a construction contract to Hart Design Build, Inc., for the Aquatics Scoreboard Replacement project to improve visibility, reliability, and functionality during aquatic programs and competitive events, for a total contract amount not to exceed $517,033.
- Adjourned the meeting in memory of Tom Clark and Manuel Alejandro Lorenzana Villegas.
