The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2015:
CONSENT CALENDAR—Highlights of the Consent Calendar included:
- Approval of contracts for the continuation of Santa Clarita America’s Job Center program.
- Approval of the extension of the Temporary Bin and Roll Off Franchise agreements, ranger patrol services in Santa Clarita open spaces, and extending the Performing Arts Center MOU.
- Awarding of a contract for stormwater services and approving the sharing of costs with LA County and LA County Flood Control District.
- Awarding of contract for the 2015-16 Annual Overlay and Slurry Seal Program.
- Adopting of a resolution to designate agents to execute and file applications to California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.
- Awarding of a contract for the Old Orchard Park Design.
- Approving the purchase of two new scoreboards for the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center.
- Approval of amendments to the City of Santa Clarita Records Retention Schedule.
- Awarding contracts to Stay Green, Inc. for maintenance of several LMD zones.
The City Council also held a PUBLIC HEARING and introduced an ordinance to grant Valencia Water Company a water franchise. Under the NEW BUSINESS section, the Council continued the Net Energy Successor program to the meeting of November 10.
