The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2015:
CONSENT CALENDAR – APPROVED AS ONE INDIVIDUAL COUNCIL ACTION
Highlights of the Consent Calendar included:
- Approval of purchase of two compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks for the Streets Division.
- Adoption of amendments and additions to the City’s Municipal Code regarding massage parlors and aggressive solicitation.
- Awarding of a contract for contractual tree maintenance.
- Adoption of City of Santa Clarita’s Fiscal Year 2015-16 Statement of Investment Policy.
- Approval of the Draft 2015-2016 Annual Action Plan and the Community Development Block Grant.
During the Public Hearings portion of the meeting, the City Council reviewed the Low Impact Development Ordinance as a requirement of the City’s State-issued Municipal Stormwater Permit.
During the New Business portion of the meeting, the City Council took the following actions:
- Awarded a contract to prepare an independent report and to evaluate the proposed roadway options in the Master’s College Master Plan Modification Project.
- Directed staff to move forward with the naming of the Golden Valley Road/State Route 14 Bridge in honor of community leader Connie Worden-Roberts.
