The following is the recap from the City Council meeting on Tuesday, January 26, 2021:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Conducted a second reading and adopted an ordinance to provide for the regulation of Accessory Dwelling Units, as required by state law.
- Awarded a professional services agreement to 4LEAF, Inc. to update the City’s Housing Element, Safety Element, and associated CEQA review in an amount not to exceed $287,916.
- Awarded the design contract to Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for the Traffic Signal and Fiber Optic Interconnect, Copper Hill Drive and Deer Spring Drive Project, in an amount not to exceed $65,000.
- Approved the Fund Transfer Agreement from Los Angeles County to accept regional watershed funds through the Safe Clean Water Measure W Parcel Tax.
- Approved the 2021 Community Services and Arts Grants Committee’s Program funding in an amount not to exceed $180,000.
- Approved the 2021 Homeless Innovation Fund Grant recommendations in an amount not to exceed $126,493.
- Approved changes to the City Council Committee Appointments for 2021.
