The following is a recap of the City Council meeting on March 26, 2024:
Highlights of action taken include:
- Proclaimed March 29, 2024, as National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
- Recognized Elizabeth Seelman for being inducted into the Georgetown University Athletics Hall of Fame.
- Discussed the Central Park Buildout – River of Lights project and directed staff to reallocate funds from the Sheriff’s Station Civic Art project to the Central Park River of Lights project.
- Supported the following state legislative items: Assembly Bill 2039, Assembly Bill 2814, Assembly Bill 2934, Assembly Bill 3109, and Assembly Bill 3171.
- Opposed the following state legislative items: Assembly Bill 3068 and Senate Bill 1211.
