The following is a recap of the City Council regular meeting of May 26, 2026:
Highlights of actions taken include:
- Conducted a public hearing and scheduled the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Annual Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program adoption for the June 9, 2026, City Council regular meeting.
- Conducted a public hearing and adopted a resolution to adjust the Fiscal Year 2026-27 schedule of fees and charges for City services.
- Adopted a resolution declaring the incorporation of projects proposed to be funded by Senate Bill 1, Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, into the Capital Improvement Program.
- Awarded construction contracts for the 2025-26 Overlay and Slurry Seal Program, Overlay C and Slurry Seal, to Toro Enterprises, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $2,381,201 and Union Pavement Services, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $537,792.
- Adjourned the meeting in memory of Gordon Uppman.
