All participants, including parents, must follow specific court guidelines. Please bring all signed and filled out forms to your assigned court appearance.
Before Court:
- Must sign consent agreement
to waive their rights to a confidential hearing, prior to court proceedings. - Review dress code and conduct for court proceedings.
- For Traffic Court: Fill out the Minor’s Data Sheet Traffic Court
- For Teen Court: Fill out the Minor’s Data Sheet Teen Court-Updated
During Court:
- Must attend the court hearing, along with a parent or legal guardian.
- Must be prepared to answer the charges of the citation.
- Must be prepared to answer questions from the Judge about academic standing (grades, attendance), and to discuss future goals.
- Parents must be prepared to answer the Judge on the consequences imposed by them on their child due to their child’s citation.
- Must be respectful to all Community Court and Teen Court staff (including instructors and Judge), otherwise additional sentencing can be imposed.
- Must sign Court Contract after sentencing.
- Must complete all the conditions of the court order.
