
The City contracts with the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control which promotes and protects public safety and animal care through sheltering, pet placement programs, education, and animal law enforcement. They provide animal control and rescue services 24 hours a day, seven days a week
Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic
The City is pleased to partner with Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control and Simi Valley Non-Profit Spay and Neuter Clinic to provide low-cost spay/neuter services for pet owners in financial need. The mobile clinic will be stationed every Monday in the Newhall Community Center parking lot. Pet owners interested in receiving services for their pet(s) must call and leave a voicemail to (805) 584-3823 or email svspayneuter@gmail.com for an appointment – indicate that you are inquiring about the Santa Clarita program and provide relevant pet(s) details.
Animal Care Grant Program
The City is pleased to announce our second annual Animal Care Grant Program is NOW OPEN and accepting applications!
This program offers direct financial assistance to non-profit organizations that serve the City’s animal population. Animal Control Officers protect communities from dangerous animals, rescue sick/injured/stray animals, investigate animal cruelty, conduct animal licensing inspections, and remove deceased animals from public places.
