Kristi Hobrecker
Director of Human Resources and Library Services
Kristi has served in a variety of professional capacities since starting with the City in 2003. During this time, Kristi began her career in the Human Resources division handling all levels of recruitment and onboarding of employees as well as establishing the City’s training and development program. Before assuming the role of Director of Human Resources and Library Services, Kristi served as Human Resources Manager for six years where she developed multiple, award-winning training programs for employees, served as Budget Officer, and played an integral role in the City’s strategic planning efforts. In her current role, Kristi oversees the planning, organizing, and administration of the City’s Human Resources division, including recruitment, selection, employee and labor relations, classification, compensation, benefits, and employee training and development. Kristi extends her commitment to delivering timely, responsive public service to her oversight of Santa Clarita’s three Public Library branches. Kristi supports and empowers library staff in their efforts to impart a lifelong love of reading, foster community, and develop an informed citizenry. Kristi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University. Kristi lives in Santa Clarita with her husband, Chris, and their two daughters, Callia and Cayden.
